Tag #1 - 8 random facts about myself

Ok .. I know there is nothing much to read on this blog of mine .. hahaha. Well nowadays I am quite occupied with lots of things. What things ar, you may ask? Anyway, me busy with watching movies, cooking with Misha, play squash with Misha, kai kai with Misha ... well .. just ALL ABOUT Misha... nothing else but just Misha.. Misha and Misha.

Well this is my First Tag passed to me by a pretty and sexy Mummy. I have known as for many many years .. so .. like she mentioned earlier, this tag is a homework from her to me, therefore, I must do it nicely and pass the homework to her once it is done!
So, let's start with the homework !!!

###############################

And the rules are :
  1. I have to post these rules before I give you the facts.
  2. Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
  3. People who are tagged need to write their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.
  4. At the end of your blog, you need to choose people to get tagged and list their names.
  5. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog
Now the homework :

8 random facts about myself :-
  1. I am a Malaysian living in HK at the moment. Has one daughter and her name is Misha. She has her own blog.
  2. I worked full time before giving birth to Misha. Since then, full time housewife... with no self generated income :(
  3. I am in love with korean food, korean movies, korea BUT not the man .. hahaha
  4. I am bless because I have a wonderful husband and a lovely/intelligent daughter
  5. I miss Malaysian food if did not go back to Malaysia for a long time
  6. I love to buy lots and lots of books for Misha to read :)
  7. I miss go shopping at One Utama
  8. Hmmm ... last one .. last one .. oh yeah .. I love durians!!! Yeah .. long live DURIANs!!!!
Good, homework considered done!!! Hehehe .. now back to watch movies and start to rot again. ..ops .. who to tag? WHO?? This is difficult since I do not have many "fansee"s .. hahaha .. well I will tag the following ...
  1. Misha - my one and only love
  2. Steffi - the pretty young lady
Hmmm.. tagged two will do lar ok? Sorrie .. no one to tag lar .. hahaha!!!

In my daughter's eyes :)

In my daughter's eyes
I am a hero
I am strong and wise
and I know no fear
But the truth is plain to see
She was sent to rescue me
I see who I wanna be
In my daughter's eyes
In my daughter's eyes
everyone is equal
Darkness turns to light and the
world is at peace
This miracle God gave to me gives me
strength when I am weak
I find reason to believe
In my daughter's eyes
And when she wraps her hand
around my finger
Oh it puts a smile in my heart
Everything becomes a little clearer
I realize what life is all about
It's hangin' on when your heart
has had enough
It's giving more when you feel like giving up
I've seen the light
It's in my daughter's eyes
In my daughter's eyes I can see the future
A reflection of who I am and what will be
Though she'll grow and someday leave
Maybe raise a family
When I'm gone I hope you see how happy
she made me
For I'll be there
in my daughter's eyes

HK - Lam Tsuen Wishing Tree

:)

Another famous tourist attraction in HK is the Lam Tsuen Wishing Tree. If you do watch HK series you will definately come across this particular tree.

This wishing tree is actually located near a temple in Lam Tsuen. If you do not watch those HK series, you must be wondering what is so special about this tree, right? Ok, this is a wishing tree ie most HKers believe that you can make your wishes come true by throwing a scroll onto the tree. The scroll also known as "bao die" ie colored wishing paper. You have to write your wish(es) on the paper and wrapped it up from bottom to topThe "bao die" will be tied to three oranges. Once the "bao die" is tied properly, the wisher can tossed it up to the tree, the higher it hung to a branch the more higher chances of your wishes do come true.

But now, the public is advised not to toss the "bao die" onto the tree because the tree is too old and going to collapse :( What the management at that area advised is to hang the "bao die" at a board next to the trees.

So, who wants to come to Lam Tsuen Wishing Tree to make their wishes do come true?

HK- Ladies' Street

OK .. ok .. I am back AGAIN .. hahaha :)

Hmm .. what should I post? Let me think . ok .. let me show you one of HK's favourite destination ok? The place is called Ladies' Street. Ladies' Street in HK is exactly like Petaling Street and it is an open air bazaar. There are about 100 stalls selling all different things :)At Ladies' Street, you will be able to find the cheapest and largest collections of clothes, watches, bags, scarfs, toys and many many more unexpected things :) Well, the stalls start business from morning till about 11 pm on weekdays and maybe until mid night during weekends.

I was there last 2 weeks and able to take a few photos, so, do have a look at those photos ok?

Besides buying things at Ladies' Street, there are many eatery places around the area. One of the famous dessert show located near Ladies Street is called Hui Lau San.

So, does the Ladies' Street in HK looks like Petaling Street in KL? Hehehehe :)

Yes!

Yes, I have finished watching the last episode of HEROES .. hehehe ... can't wait for the Season Two to be released :)

Wednesday, May 16, 2007

I am back :)

Where have I been all these while? Hehehe .. well I am rather busy with houseworks, daughter and many many more... but the one that took up lots of my time is watching couple of series ... :)
The series that I am watching at the moment are :

HEROES

The series is about people all over the world discovering that they have superpowers and trying to deal with how this change affects their lives. Some of the superheroes who will be introduced to the viewing audience include Peter Petrelli, an almost 30-year-old male nurse who suspects he might be able to fly, Isaac Mendez, a 28-year-old junkie who has the ability to paint images of the future when he is high, Niki Sanders, a 33-year-old Las Vegas showgirl who does things that are mysteriously connected with mirrors, Hiro Nakamura, a 24-year-old Japanese comic-book geek who literally makes time stand still, D.L. Hawkins, a 31-year-old inmate who can walk through walls, Matt Parkman, a beat cop who can hear other people's thoughts, and Claire Bennet, a 17-year-old cheerleader who defies death at every turn. As the viewing audience is discovering the nature of each hero's powers, the heroes, themselves, are discovering what having superpowers means to them as well as the larger picture of where their superpowers come from. Tune in each week to see how these heroes are drawn together by their common interest of evading the series' antagonist who wants to harvest their super-DNA for himself.

I am waiting for episode 22 :)

DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES

This series is narrated by the late Mary Alice Young, Desperate Housewives takes viewers inside Wisteria Lane, a small section of suburban America that's anything but ordinary. This primetime soap delves deep into the lives of a circle of women with a mix dark humor and drama that helps expose the truth that things are never as they seem. The tale of these women started with the death of one of their own, Mary Alice Young. Even though she is a resident of Wisteria no longer, she guides us through the daily lives of her close friends, family and neighbors from her unique and all-seeing point of view. The women of Wisteria include Susan Mayer, a single mother and divorcee, struggling to raise her teenaged daughter, Julie, all while going to extreme lengths to find the man of her dreams, who may be her neighbor, Mike Delfino. Lynette Scavo is a mother four who is dealing with the change of going from a stay-at-home mom to a career woman as she helps her husband Tom open their own pizzeria. Bree Van De Kamp, the quintessential Martha Stewart-esque housewife, presents a calm and collected exterior, but is dealing with the pain of losing her husband, Rex, the challenge of raising two rebellious children, Danielle and Andrew, and her second marriage to the mysterious Orson Hodge. Gabrielle Solis had it all -- a successful modeling career, an equally successful husband, Carlos and a large house -- but with the end of her marriage, Gabrielle must learn how to make it on her own. Lastly Edie Britt, the self made successful real estate agent whose love life is at the top of everyone's gossip list. Wiseria Lane has experienced it's share of mysterious comings and goings.

yeah yeah yeah .. me watching Season 3 Episode 22 now :)

UGLY BETTY

Well, Ugly Betty is about a bright but ordinary-looking woman is a fish out of water working at a glitzy fashion magazine. Adapted from a Colombian telenovela.

So, should you have the chance to watch any of the above, do watch ok? As for me, I will watch those series till the conclusion of it .. :)

Our humble hut :)

Hong Kong has many tall buildings and the streets are full of people at all times. Where do these people live? Most of them lived in high-rise housing estates. Most of the housing estates have facilities like shops, banks, restaurants, clinics, markets, elderly hostels, nurseries, kindergartens, primary and secondary schools, gardens and play areas, car parks and bus terminals.

The place we are staying at the moment is called Vista Paradiso, located in Shatin. Vista Paradiso comprises 11 high rise towers overlooking Tolo Harbour. Misha’s school is just opposite the apartment so it is very convenient for her to go to school. It is also easy to get public transport here. The KCR station is just a walking distance so it is very easy for us if we intend to go to the city. Shopping is rather easy too .. everything is just nearby. ... :)

Do have a look at those pictures taken ok?
Renting a house/town house is not cheap here, was told that the average rental for an unfurnished town house (one floor) costs about HK20,000 to HK30,000 (depending how old the house is) .. expensive right?

Anyway, Vista Paradiso is a nice and cosy area to stay, no complaint yet ... :)

Okla .. will more next time .. till then .. take care :)

I have something to confess

Princess Misha will be 7 years old next month .. time really flies very fast .. like a friend told me ... blink blink couple of times.. the child will grow already. Personally, I think what she said was true. .. blink couple of times more, she will finish her primary school, few more blinks she will graduate from secondary school, more more blinks she will graduate from uni.. more more more blinks .. she will get married and have child(ren) .. yeah ..how I wish .. that these blinks come so easily .. hahaha :)

Princess and I went through many things together since husband stationed overseas most of the time. We used to spend lots of time .. shopping ..eating out .. watching movies..laughing .. crying... etc etc .. I really love spending time with her :) Sometimes, I do really miss spending time with her BUT what to do .. priority has changed, NOW she has to go to school and study

Sometimes I will scold her being forgetful, being too playful etc etc but everyone told me that she is just a small girl .. must give her chance :)

I think I have brought her up into a good girl (at this moment) and I hope that I will continue to love and care for her in the future too ...

Darling, Mummy loves you ... and will always do :)

Stinky Tou Fu (Chow Dau Fu)

After movie at IFC Central, we went to Mong Kok, Hong Kong to have noodles. We love to the Beef noodles there. Once we reached the stall, I smelt something different. Asked husband what smell is that. He just smiled and said "Chow Dau Fu"... aiyah .. it really stinks :(

That store that sells chow dau fu supposed to be one of the better stalls since there are many people lining up to buy, mostly locals and there were even tourists. The smell is really really bad. The reason for me to say so was because you can actually smell it half way down the street block.

What is Chow Dau Fu? It is basically the Chinese version of cheese. It was deep fried and then served with a different sauces. A good Chow Dau Fu is crunchy on the outside and soft within and stinky all around.

I do not really like Chow Dau Fu because it smells really bad .. really do!

Guess What .....

Hubby just gave me a new samsung mobile phone .. muahahahaha .... so .. NOW I have 3 samsung mobile phones ... you must be wondering why I need so many phones .. I myself , also not sure ... :)

Well .. one for Hong Kong number, one for Malaysian number and the other one? Hmm ... maybe keep .. until someone needs to use it urgently :)

This is the MY new samsung mobile phone . yeah .. it is SGH U600. The Samsung U600 is a pretty decent handset. U600 comes in in four colours - platinum metal, sapphire blue, garnet red and copper gold. Mine is sapphire blue! :) This phone will be used for Malaysian phone number

This is my existing mobile phone using Hong Kong phone number. Love this phone very much because it is in RED and it is a limited edition .. hahaha ..

This mobile is exactly the same with the RED one but it is only in black. ... most probably will keep this phone until someone needs it in future.

So ...

these are NOT the only mobile phones in the house. Husband is currently using two more samsung mobile phones and Misha .. hehehe . yeah .. she is using one too.

Well .. guess we are MOBILE phone family .. :)

What day is today?

Today is Good Friday. Good Friday is the Friday before Easter Day. It is also considered as a holy day by the Christians. Special prayer will be held on this day. Good Friday is about the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ at Calvary. (Calvary is the English-language name given to the hill on which Jesus was crucified).

Giving Sheltie away

I have to give my puppy, Sheltie, away yesterday. Yeah yeah yeah .. . .me being mean and bad .. but I have no choice. I admit that I do not have the patience to toilet trained him even though he has shown progress in doing so. Well ... I am going to miss him BUT I will more prefer to "let" him go.

Since we do not want to give Sheltie back to the pet shop, we tried to look for a new owner for him. At least someone in husband's office willing to "adopt" him. I hope that they will love Sheltie as much as we do.

Princess was very sad ... ie giving Sheltie away. We promised her that we will get another puppy when we are back in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for good. But as at now, Princess's dad has promised her that he will get her another pet .. ie FISH !!!!! Guess, it is easier to maintain :)

Anyway, I admit that it was my mistake, to buy the puppy without thinking in detail .. so SORRY !!

Singapore Radio Station

I do not really like to watch Hong Kong programmes on telly. Some of you may wonder why? Reason .. me lazy .. hehehe .. I prefer to listen to radio station instead.

Lately, I discovered there is a Singapore Radio Station that really interest me. I will actually logged on to the radio station since in the morning and only logged off when I intend to go to bed :)

The radio station is called 91.3, do visit them when you are free (www.radio913.com) 91.3 is a brand new name, a brand new format, and a lineup that boasts many of the biggest names in Singapore radio from the past decade. It is an English language radio station that promises not just ear candy but food for thought, too.

The DJs are Joe Augustin, Petrina Kow, Suzanne Walker and Hubert Tang. This programme team will be led by Hubert. I think 91.3 is a great radio station, not just a mix of music, but a mix of people.

Anyway, do visit them, if you are free ok?

April Fool's Day!!!

Today was April Fool's Day and I really forgotten about it, until, I listened to the Singapore radio online. The DJ mentioned that today it was APRIL FOOL'S DAY ... then only I realised. Told Princess to make a prank on her dad ... ZoooMmm she went to the room to look for daddy (it is already 10 am and daddy still sleeping like a PIG-why? because daddy spent the whole night playing Xbox online!!!!).

Well ... life still goes on even it was April Fool's Day ... stomach need to be filled. Ok .. three of us sat down and discussed what should we have for lunch. Then suddenly, the idea of having lunch at Hard Rock came into our mind. Without wating any time, we quickly changed and went there.

The Kowloon Hard Rock Cafe Hong Kong was located amidst the shopping and entertainment district of Tsimshatsui.
There were lots of choices that we can choose from the memu and do you know what .. Kowloon Hard Rock Cafe Hong Kong actually has ASIA MENU!!!! Hahaha .. that really surprised me actually :) Maybe they do have Asia Menu in other cafes but did not noticed that till today hehehe :)

Since Princess and myself do not know what to eat, we suggest that Daddy ordered for us. Daddy ordered Jumbo Combo (A delectable array of popular starters includes Santa Fe Spring Rolls, Hickory-Smoked Chicken Wings, Onion Rings, Potato Skins and Tupelo Chicken Tenders. Served with four different sauces for mixing and matching); Famous Fajitas (Choice of grilled chicken or beef served with pico de gallo, shredded Jack and Cheddar cheeses, fresh guacamole, sour cream, shredded lettuce and hot flour tortillas) and Hickory Smoked Bar-B-Que Baby Back Ribs (A full rack of West Tennessee-style baby back ribs rubbed and basted in our authentic Hickory Bar-B-Que sauce and cooked to perfection – so the meat falls right off the bone. Served with seasoned fries, ranch beans and fresh coleslaw). After the lunch, we are soooo full.

After all these, we had the best dessert, hehehe, the Hot Fudge Brownie Sundae (Ice cream and hot fudge on a fresh brownie, topped with chopped walnuts, chocolatesprinkles, fresh whipped cream and a cherry). Yummy yummy .. nice nice and full full :)

By the time, we finished our lunch it was already about 4pm. We do not have dinner that day because we were too full from the lunch hehehe ...

Till then ... take care!!!

Saturday, March 31, 2007

Are these nice?

Yummy ........ does this look nice? Want to try some? Hahaha .. caught you .. they were made from cheese and chocolates. These photos were taken while Princess and myself went to Festival Walk (FW) for lunch today.

FW actually having a special promotion called "TASTE THE WORLD AT FESTIVAL WALK". One of the special event is to invite Mr Jim Victor and his assistant to demonstrate a live food sculpture at the same venue. Fantastic work, Mr Victor.

Look real, right? hehehe .. :)

Lunch with Princess

Lunch with Princess

Today, I had lunch with my Princess since she can go back earlier (ie last day of school - usually the kids are permitted to go back at 12 noon). We went to a shopping complex nearby to hunt for food. At last we agreed to have some Malaysian food .. yeah .. Malaysian food.

After looking through the menu, we noticed that the place does sell quite a varieties of Malaysian food. At the end, we decided to order Hainanese Chicken Rice, Fried Kuey Teow and Satay (yeah .. satay ... u saw it correctly!)

fried kuey teow

Hainanese Chicken Rice

We waited like 20 minutes, the Hainanese Chicken Rice and Fried Kuey Teow were served. Have peek. Princess and me quickly picked up our chopsticks and fork/spoon to try the food. To our dissapointment, the Fried Kueh Teow is too oily :( but the Chicken Rice is ok :) We waited for our satay .. BUT was told that satay finished. Princess is dissapointed. Anyway, told Princess we will try that some other day.

Conclusion is the food is ok ok only. We have tried better and nicer Malaysian food in Hong Kong. One of the best Malaysian restaurant that can be found in Hong Kong is called SABAH, it is situated in Wan Chai, Hong Kong. Will blog about that .. next time!!

Till then, take care

Gwen Stefani ft. Akon - The sweetest escape

I really love this song very much and hope you guys love it too :)

Lyrics of the song "The sweetest escape"

If I could escape I would, but first of all let me say
I must apologize for acting, stinking, treating you this way
Cause I've been acting like sour milk fell on the floor
It's your fault you didn't shut the refridgerator
Maybe that's the reason I've been acting so cold

If I could escape and re-create a place in my own world
And I could be your favorite girl (Forever, perfectly together)
Now tell me boy, wouldn't that be sweet?
If I could be sweet
I know I've been a real bad girl
I didn't mean for you to get hurt
Forever, we can make it better
Now tell me boy, wouldn't that be sweet? (Sweet escape)

I wanna get away, to our sweet escape
I wanna get away, yeah

You let me down I'm at my lowest boiling point
Come help me out I need to get me out of this joint
Come on, let's bounce Counting on you to turn me around
Instead of clowning around for some common ground

So baby, times getting a little crazy
I've been getting a little lazy
Waiting for you to come save me
I can see that you're angry
By the way the you treat me
Hopefully you don't leave me
Want to take you with me

If I could escape and re-create a place in my own world
And I could be your favorite girl (Forever, perfectly together)
Now tell me boy, wouldn't that be sweet?
If I could be sweet I know I've been a real bad girl
I didn't mean for you to get hurt
Forever, we can make it better
Now tell me boy, wouldn't that be sweet? Sweet escape

(Woo-who, yee who)
(Woo-who, yee-who)

If I could escape

Cause I've been acting like sour milk fell on the floor
It's your fault you didn't shut the refridgerator
Maybe that's the reason I've been acting so cold

If I could escape and re-create a place in my own world
And I could be your favorite girl Forever, perfectly together
Now tell me boy, wouldn't that be sweet?

If I could be sweet I know I've been a real bad girl
I didn't mean for you to get hurt
Forever, we can make it better
Now tell me boy, wouldn't that be sweet? Sweet escape

(Woo-who, yee-who)
I wanna get away, to our sweet escape

Thousands of human :(

Husband went to Macau (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macau) for a meeting over the weekends. Left only Princess and me (and the pup called Sheltie) at home. Since me lazy to cook, we decided that we should go out to have lunch. Usually dislike to go out during the weekends. Why? The reason was we have to queue for a long time just to eat. Anyway, we agreed, we still go out to have lunch and window shopping.

When we reached Shatin Centre, the whole place is full of human. Young, old, pretty, ugly, white, black and all in different shapes. Well .. luckily we only need to wait like 5 minutes before we we able to get a table.

A few of the photos taken on that day ... thousands of human .. rushing here and there .. as my husband said earlier 'WELCOME TO HONG KONG" :)
many people ..
more people ....

and many more people ....

where are they going actually .. me wonders :)
